Back Garden
The shallow end of the pond is a popular spot for blackbirds and house sparrows to bathe.
Binoculars
My old Soviet Russian-made 10x50 Cosmos binoculars from the 1960s weigh in at a solid 1.3 kilograms, well over four times as heavy as my pocket-sized 8x20 Victory Compacts, made by Carl Zeiss in Hungary. They're just 231 grams.
Detail: very similar. Colour: very slightly 'washed out' with the smaller pair.
