Purston Crows
23 January 2014
Purston Jaglin, West Yorkshire
4 p.m.; Crows over fields at Purston Jaglin as sleety rain-clouds approach from the west, filling the field of view. On our way home we pass through the rolling countryside with woods and copses that you look out over when you stand in front of Nostell Priory.
Bait station
The rats are now taking the bait. At first they carefully ate the sunflower hearts that I'd put around it, leaving the blue-green dyed cracked grain untouched. Now they've taken it all and I'm replenishing it. I feel as if I'm being a bit of a rat, tempting them with it but so far they're showing no ill effects.
