The miniature daffodils are out around our bird table. Barbara buys a few pots to have indoors each year then plants them out when they're over. The result is that, with those from previous years spreading we've now got, not a host, but a small crowd at least.

These larger daffodils were on our table in our favourite place for a lunchtime brouchetta: the Café Casbah.

Castle HillCastle Hill

Later I'm in Huddersfield for a West Yorkshire RIGS meeting (RIGS are Regionally Important Geological Sites). The subject today: the geology of Castle Hill, the site of an Iron Age hill fort. From where I'm sitting I can see it through the window, overlooking the town. Next Page
