Evening Light

Apart from the wax crayons I've done no colour work today so, back at the hotel for the evening buffet and disco, I paint the scene outside the window of the Kingfisher Bar, once the cellars of the house (supplies were brought in by barge). Here's where it's essential to know your way around your paintbox: it's dark in the bar so these colours were mixed and applied by informed guesswork.
