Buddleia Stump

This stump is all that's left of the top heavy buddleia that keeled over in a storm last year. Is it worth leaving it in? Yes, it looks as if it will be; there are green leaves sprouting from it.

The soil of the shrub bed around it is sprouting with new growth too: goosegrass, nettle, dock and willowherb. I'll need to do some weeding.
