Hand Sketching

Richard Bell’s Wild West Yorkshire nature diary Tuesday, 3rd June 2008

A RAINY MORNING, another waiting room and I didn’t want to draw the drooping, drizzly valerian in the courtyard outside the window, so I fell back on drawing my left hand.

This was drawn with my 0.8 brown Pilot Drawing Pen and coloured using the waterbrush and my little box of Winsor & Newton watercolours. Thankfully after today’s visit and a scale and polish at the dentist’s tomorrow, the time I spend in waiting rooms should enormously decrease. Let’s hope so, as I’d like to use my little kit of colours outdoors this summer!
