A Rainy Day  in Scarborough

My apologies to the juvenile herring gull, which wasn’t as green as I’ve shown it here! That’s one of the disadvantages of dipping into the Paynes grey. I’m going to experiment by replacing it with Neutral Tint in the Winsor & Newton Artists’ Watercolours range.

Wearing full waterproofs, we found we could enjoy walking around the town, and along a rather breezy Marine Drive, despite the continuous rain.

New discovery: The vegetarian Nutmeg Café on Victoria Road; it’s not that far out of town; if you were walking out of the station and past the Stephen Joseph Theatre on your left, it’s on the next road on your left. It’s small, so you might need to book a table for lunch.
