HERE’S the illustration that I started yesterday. I’ve been making slow progress. My excuse is that I didn’t get the weekend off because of working on a commission, so I haven’t started fresh after a break.
My aim is to give people a flavour of the walk in my illustrations, so they’ve got some idea of what’s in store. I’ve stayed close to the colours in the photograph and I decided to leave the overcast sky. Whichever sky is going past at that moment is invariably the one that will fit best with the landscape you’re painting.
So, only 50 or 60 more drawings to go for this walks book. I’d better speed up a bit!
