Ospreys at Easter

Richard Bell, spring/summer 1971

After chores in the Afternoon I got letters off to my Autralian penfriend and Wales. I saw a pied wagtail and a long tailed tit. Wood ants crowded under a stone were starting work on a new nest hauling pine needles into place.

Surprisingly the weather began to change. The cloud filtered away and the sun shone.

The view of Loch Garten in the evening is painted in coloured inks: I carried small bottles of the three primary colours with me, in addition to sepia.
