The Smell of Rain

Wild West Yorkshire nature diary, Thursday 25th March 1999

greenfinch jay A FEMALE CHAFFINCH hops about behind the pond, a greenfinch chases about in the weeping willow which the Jay leaves, heading for the large oak. It rains most of the day, I love the fresh smell of rain at this time of year. Dull it may be, but now there's that warmth. Good growing weather.
