WHITETAIL has been busy chasing all other Blackbirds from our back garden over the last few weeks. This morning a female - his mate presumably - perches on the greenhouse with a beakful of dry grasses. She flies off towards the Pyracantha hedge.
The snow, a thin patchy layer of it, stayed longer than usual this year. Now it's time to spring clean the garden ready for planting and sowing. Despite its neglect over the winter, the garden looks good in spring. The Snowdrops have lasted well and the red stems of Dogwood look striking.
