The river is well down revealing a garland of discarded tyres bursting black bin bags and assorted plastic flotsam on the silty promontory below the weir.

Japanese knotweed Dandelions dot the grassy edge of the towpath. Wine red leaves of Japanese knotweed are showing on the disturbed ground on the banking by the canal-side pub.next page
