As I draw these two Leyland Cypresses a pair
of collared doves fly over and later perch on them.
Collared doves have spread across Britain since they arrive
d from
Europe in the 1950s.
Leyland Cypress is a hybrid species, × Cupressocyparis
leylandii, named after Christopher John Leyland
