It
may be dull but I love the subtlety of the colour at this time of year;
everything is so harmonious; from the rusty iron railings and greeny buff
concrete posts by the roadside through the dull green, ochre and even
purplish tints in the hedgerow to the misty warmth of colours of the side
valley of Smithy Brook glimpsed in the distance and beckoning
me to take a day
off to go stomping about in the countryside that is so near but which
I get so little opportunity to visit.
The cloud lingered all day so we didn't get to see the partial eclipse
of the sun this morning.
