The shortest day approaches and, by the time I've done my day's work, the light has gone so I can't wander outside to find something to draw. I decide that the art bag, sitting on the desk right there next to the computer, is as good a subject as any. You can probably tell that I'd like to head for the hills again because the bag, to my eyes anyway, looks like some craggy ridge with a dip slope tilting gently down to the right. It might just be a desktop today but hopefully soon I'll be back in the hill country again and then at least I'll have had some practice when it comes to drawing real ridges, slopes and valleys.
