I'M
ENJOYING working on my new book about drawing wildlife and I've just
been taking a look at my last
published sketchbook, High
Peak Drifter. It takes me back to
my time drawing on location there. Just looking at the double-page spread
picture map at
the start of the book makes me want to return there to walk, explore
and draw again.
Here's a page drawn near
Odin's Cave, towards the end of a summer's afternoon when most of the
visitors had gone home. It didn't make it into the final book because of
lack of space, neither did the dandelion and damsels (drawn on the same afternoon)
on the next page of this diary. |
