Coxley Wood in spring

MY GREAT-NEPHEWS, Ben and Alex, aged 4 and 1 respectively, aren’t the easiest of subjects as they’re pretty active; so I’m pleased with my little sketch of Alex crawling after Ben at full tilt.

I got Ben to colour, on the computer  in Photoshop, a scan of the sketch I’d done of him, using the graphics tablet. He’s got a lot to learn! But he had a lot of fun, laughing when, missing the exact spot with the touch pen, he gave himself a large brown beard. I can’t show you the result as he enjoyed using the different effect brushes in Photoshop so much that he obliterated my entire drawing with orange stars and blue maple leaves!
