A YOUNG BLACKBIRD jumps on the spot to pluck a Honeysuckle berry, then drops it. Another hop, and it manages to manoeuvre the berry in its beak and swallow it.
A meal of our own garden produce;
- Potatoes, an early variety, Winston.
- French and Runner Beans.
- Courgettes (Zuccini).
- Our first tomatoes, we're growing five varieties and I always forget which is which, this might be Shirley.
The House Martins circling over the rooftops against a grey sky inspire me to try an animated sketch.
I decided that, because of the limitations of simple animation, the fluttering of the bat would be a better bet than the smooth, flowing flight of the House Martin. I've put together a bat animation workshop, if you're interested in trying this sort of thing yourself.
