Blackbirds
and collared doves perch in the bare hawthorns in the
hedge at Barbara's mum's. After all my errands this week it seems ages
since I had the chance to sit down and draw. Relaxing and drawing just
whatever happens to be going on outside the window is a great way to come
down to earth. And the chance to try some of Barbara's mum's home-baking
helps too.
Later,
after dinner
We have dinner guests this evening; this drawing (right)
shows the effects that a couple of glasses of red wine and a small
glass of port have on me: those elipses seemed to want to go every which
way.
But it's great to have a few mellow moments to draw again.
