Still light enough for me to fit in a sketch - my first of the day. A magpie
perches on the apex of the roof on the left, bobbing its tail up
and down. A few minutes later it disappears and a blackbird
perches on the chimney pot on the right, no doubt glad that the
magpie has gone.
Our
beech hedge began to shed its old brown leaves
a week or two ago and in the last week the leaves have opened.
That's a peace lily in the pot, one of half a
dozen Barbara has grown by dividing the original which got too big
for its pot.
