The Sutterton Chef

Richard Bell’s nature diary, North Norfolk,  Saturday,  8th August 2009

insects and plants at Sutterton

WE’RE OFF on our travels again and hadn’t bargained for the roads being so busy on a fine August weekend so the Little Chef at Sutterton, near Kings Lynn, North Norfolk, provides us with an oasis of comparative calm.

The view of a crescent of grass with shrubs and trees beyond, with its bees, butterflies and bugs provides me with a suitably relaxing subject; a glimpse into the goings on in the natural world.

The pale yellow butterfly was most likely a brimstone, the original ‘butter-fly’.
