SWALLOWS mob a Sparrowhawk, wheeling around it as it flies over the fields. By the canal, it is the Heron that is getting mobbed, by a single Black-headed Gull.
In the wood a fledgling Mistle Thrush regards us with wary wide-eyed wariness.
