THERE'S WARMTH in the glowing colour of the trees and in the afternoon sun.
A small flock of Greenfinches visit a Field Rose by the lane, which has plenty of ripe hips on it. Further along the hedgerow four Yellowhammers bring another highlight of colour.
Eight Magpies are acting like oxpeckers, searching, probably for insects, both around and on top of the resting calves of the Charolais herd.
