Our
friends tell us that their front garden tree is a mock cherry
(not mock orange), which has pinkish flowers in the spring.
A grey bird, a dove I think, perches on one of its bare branches.

An old recipe for 'Mock Cherry Pie' calls for 'cranberries cut in
halves, one-half cup raisins seeded and cut in pieces'.
