IT CERTAINLY FEELS like the shortest day. Rain, turning to sleet at times, has darkened the sky by 2 o'clock. Even so, I'm glad to get out for a short walk when it eases off a bit.
Some of the cars coming down from the direction of Huddersfield are covered with an inch of snow. Here's it just cold and wet. Droplets glisten on the bare Hawthorn twigs and on the green berries of the Ivy.
