A DRONE FLY sits on a Dandelion in the warmth of late afternoon. Most of the day has been cool and misty but the gentle warmth is enough to bring butterflies out to the last few blossoms of Buddleia.
Bracken and Tansy have shrivelled at the canal side but, along with the dandelions, a few heads of Yarrow and Hogweed are still in flower.
